Seconds To Serenity emerged from the shadows of 2012, rising through the depths of Chicago’s alternative metal scene with a sound as haunting as it is volatile. Fusing precision-crafted aggression with raw emotion and lyrical vulnerability, the band carved a sonic identity that bridges heaviness and heart—drawing comparisons to Breaking Benjamin, Starset, Motionless in White, I Prevail, Alter Bridge, Sevendust, and Three Days Grace.
After unleashing their debut album Scarlet (2013) and sophomore EP/demo Learn To Fly (2015), the band fell silent—a near decade-long hiatus that left fans waiting in the dark. Now, that silence has been broken.
In 2025, founding frontman Jake LoGiudice (vocals/guitar) reignited the flame, adding Brian Benischek on guitar, Dana Goggin on bass, and Draven DC on drums, forging a sound reborn from solitude and sharpened by experience. What has emerged is darker, heavier, and more visceral than ever before.
The rebirth began with “Bloom”—a haunting reflection of growth through pain—followed by “The Void”, a descent into loss, nihilism, and self-destruction. Their third single, “Without You”, released August 7th, cements Seconds To Serenity as a force reshaping modern alternative metal from the inside out.
